20 ways to take your mind off things

1. Make yourself a nice cuppa (my mum’s motto – when in doubt, put the kettle on)

2. Listen to some cheesy music (the cheesier the better, as a matter of fact)

3. Take a hot shower/bath and smother yourself in body butter (show yourself some love)

4. Stretching! (or do some gentle yoga)

5. Put on an outfit that makes you feel confident (or try on as many outfits as you want)

6. Have fun with some crazy eyeshadows and lipsticks (the crazier the better I reckon) 💄

7. Paint your nails (or get a manicure, whichever you fancy) 💅

8. C-H-O-C-O-L-A-T-E (chocolate doesn’t ask silly questions, chocolate understands) 🍫

9. Watch Mean Girls … (as if I haven’t seen it for about a hundred times already)

10. … or Love Actually (ditto, preferably in a onesie)

11. Go for a walk … (fresh air is always a good idea)

12. … and visit a homeware store … (and smell all their candles)

13. … or a stationery store 📐🖍

14. Send silly selfies to your friends via Snapchat (like really… really… silly ones)

15. Colooooouring 🖌

16. Keep your hands busy with crafting!

17. Scribble something in your journal – write your thoughts down as they are…

18. … or draw your feelings (or take photos, draw shapes or make a collage of pictures)

19. Organise your bedroom (at least you’d have a tidy and clean room!)

20. (… last but not least) Make lists (see what I did there?)
