1. Meditate (or practice mindfulness) every day
Minds can sometimes wander under moments of distress; whilst this can sometimes be helpful (e.g. daydreaming) it can also have less than desirable outcomes (e.g. dissociation). Mindfulness, on the other hand, is a better tool to handle stress.
Take 5 minutes out of a busy day, sit down in a comfortable position, put on some calming music if you want to, and allow yourself to have a break. Take a few deep breathes, and relax.
2. Be kind to yourself
Practise gratitude, good deeds and treat yourself nicely, in the same way you would treated a loved one. Take good care of yourself, and learn to love yourself unconditionally. Love the person you are and accept all your flaws – this will be the most positive step you can make.
There may not be an undo button in life, however there is always tomorrow.
Additional “goals”
🌸 Go to bed at a reasonable time every at night 💤 (personally I suck at this but I am going to try 🙄)
🌸 Have a balanced diet and increase fluid intake! (This is on my list everrrry year)
