UK vs US terminologies

It baffles me that we occasionally give things different names to those used across the pond (the fruity stuff you spread on toast is J-A-M, not jelly!). This goes to crochet stitches too – here is a simple chart for comparison :

UK and US crochet terms are different, but they use the same terms when describing different stitches – yikes!

The terminologies could be confusing at first, but once you get the hang of them, you’re good to go!
